ABOUT ME…

My name is Sally (Evill) Beeston and I’m a glass artist with over 40 years’ experience. I studied Architectural Stained Glass at Swansea College of Art under tutors who were masters in their field. Known by the nickname ‘Daisy,’ I adopted it as the name of my business when it was established in 2011 after gaining a fused glass qualification.. The Daisyglass Studio is based at my home in Enderby, Leicestershire, near Junction 21 of the M1.

My work combines stained and fused glass techniques developed through decades of study, professional practice, and international experience. I had a 24-year career as a secondary school Art, Design & Technology teacher and during which I was nominated for a national teaching award. I had the opportunity to work with glass full-time in 2020 and I now focus on creating work for galleries, commissioned pieces and using my teaching experience to lead adult glass classes both privately and for Leicestershire Adult Learning Service. My practice is driven by continual experimentation and professional development, with a commitment to excellence in glassmaking.
