NEWS…APRIL
It’s the International Festival of Glass bienale returns this year and is being held at The World of Glass in St. Helens on the 29th & 30th of August. As part of the celebrations August 1st to October 1st at Blowfish Gallery at Stourbridge are hosting a celebration of contemporary glass through the launch of the Fifteen x Fifteen exhibition. The challenge for artists is to submit a unique pieces of glass art no larger than 15cm H x 15cm W x 15cm D! Applications for entry close on 30th of April. I’m working on some ideas to possibly enter!
Hopefully this month I will be able to start the first architectural stained glass commission I’ve had for a long time. I shall be recording my progress and posting updates on my social media, so follow me on Instagram or Facebook to see how it develops!

Some applications to Artisan Markets, exhibitions and events across the year have been successful…. Here are the details for the first two…. .
Leicester Old Town Festival takes place on Saturday 25th April and is based around the Cathedral and Guildhall area…. I shall be exhibiting inside the Cathedral which I’m really looking forward to as this is the first time doing this event.
The Artisan Show are organising a new event in the grounds of medieval Maxstoke Castle, Warwickshire on the weekend of 16th & 17th May. This is a private castle which rarely opens it’s door. There will be art, craft and food stalls together with some re-enactment events during the weekend. It’s a ticketed event as access is limited, so get yours through clicking on the Maxstoke Castle link above!
